 Yoga for ALL: 21 June as First International Day of Yoga observed globally 

First International Day of Yoga21 June, 2015 was observed globally as the first International Day of Yoga. The day was celebrated across 192 nations.

Two New World Records: The celebrations of first International Yoga Day at Rajpath in New Delhi saw setting of two Guinness World Records (GWRs). These included participation of most individuals and individuals from the largest number of nationalities performing exercises at a single venue. Around 36,000 participants belonging to 84 nationalities did asanas at the official observation of International Day of Yoga.

 Serbia won 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup by defeating Brazil in Final 

Serbia won 2015 FIFA U-20 World CupSerbia won the FIFA U-20 World Cup by defeating Brazil at the final match held at the North Harbour Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand.

Nemanja Maksimovic scored a 118th minute goal to give Serbia a 2-1 victory over Brazil in extra time.

France has won the 2013 FIFA U-20 World cup held in Turkey.

 

 

 Fourth time Champion: Andy Murray won the men’s singles of Aegon Tennis Championships fourth time 

Andy Murray won the men’s singles of Aegon Tennis ChampionshipsBritain’s Andy Murray won the men’s singles of the Aegon Championships at the Queen’s Club in West Kensington, England. In the final match, Murray defeated South African Kevin Anderson 6-3, 6-4.

This was his fourth Queen’s title and the previous were won in alternate years 2009, 2011 and 2013.

Four time Winners: With this win, Murray joined the list of the winners of four Queen’s Club Championships. John McEnroe, Lleyton Hewitt, Boris Becker and Andy Roddick has already made it.

Vocalist Sanjay Subrahmanyam to get Sangita Kalanidhi award for the year 2015Renowned carnatic vocalist Sanjay Subrahmanyam was selected for the Sangitha Kalanidhi award of the Madras Music Academy.

47–year–old Sanjay Subrahmanyam will join the league of great musicians such as Ariyakudi Ramanuja Iyengar, Musiri Subramania Iyer, Maharajapuram Viswanatha Iyer, Semmangudi R. Srinivasa Iyer, G.N. Balasubramaniam, M.L. Vasanthakumari and M. Balamuralikrishna.
