Recruitment of Probationary Officers (PO) in Public Sector banks are done by Institute of Banking Personal Selection (IBPS) through Common Written Examination (CWE). From 2015 onwards, IBPS has started conducting IBPS PO and IBPS Clerk exams in two phases-Preliminary and Main. IBPS PO Exam was conducted offline in the year 2011 and 2012 only.
