RBI Recruitment of Officers Grade B, by New Scheme of Selection Process

RBI has issued notification for the recruitment of 134 Officers in Grade B (General). The selection will be done under new scheme. Interested & eligible candidate can apply before 23 Oct,2015 through bank’s website.

Selection Process: Under the new scheme of selection the examination will be computer based i.e. objective type with multiple choice question pattern. Conducted in two phases, Phase I and Phase II followed by interview. Phase I will continue as per existing phase I exam. Phase II will consist of three papers out of which two will be compulsory papers and one will be optional paper. Phase-I will have Paper I on English (descriptive type and computer based), Paper II on Economic and Social Issues. The optional Paper- Paper-III will have options of subjects, viz., ‘Finance & Management’ or ‘Economics’ or ‘Statistics’. For more detail visit below link.

Duration of Examinations and Distribution of Marks:

Phase-I:  Objective Type –  2 hours – 200 marks
Phase-II:  Three Papers –  300 marks
(a) Paper-I – online- English-( writing skills)- 1½ hours – 100 marks

(b) Paper-II – Economic and Social Issues – 1½ hours – 100 marks

(c) Paper-III – Optional Paper (Finance & Management/ Economics/ Statistics)

–  1½ hours – 100 marks
(iii) Interview: 50 marks The interview will continue in its existing format.

Important Dates:

Opening date for online registration of application & payment: 5 Oct,2015

Last date for online registration: 23 Oct, 2015

Phase I online exam: 21, 22 Nov, 2015

Phase II Online exam: 7 Dec, 2015

How to Apply: Candidates can apply only by online mode through bank’s website www.rbi.org.in

Eligibility: A Minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in Bachelor’s Degree as well as in 12th and 10th standard examinations. For SC/ST/PWD the minimum marks will be 50%
