Institute of Banking Personal Selection (IBPS) has recently announced to change the ongoing Exam structure for IBPS PO and IBPS Clerks exam. Now these two exams will be held in two tiers.
- Preliminary Exam
- Main Exam
In this changed pattern, candidates are advised to include the following in their preparation:
Focus on Preliminary Exam: As it will work as a screening test for Main Exam, candidates are advised to focus more on Preliminary exam. The exam pattern for Preliminary and Main has not been notified so far. The syllabus must be same but there will be difference in the level and total number of questions asked.
Speed Matters: Questions asked in Preliminary will be relatively easier than main exam. Questions will mostly depend on basic concepts and calculation & approximation techniques. Here speed can make a lot of difference.

- Regular Practice is a must to improve speedy calculation
In Depth Preparation for Main Exam: The IBPS Main exam for PO and Clerks will be require in depth preparation as it will be for those who clear IBPS Prelims Exam.
- Focus on Basic Concepts: Candidates should focus on Basic Concepts as it will not only help them getting good grades in Prelims but also it will make a good foundation for Main Exam.
