State Bank of India (SBI) is all set to conduct Preliminary Exam 2015 for the recruitment of Probationary Officers. The SBI PO Prelims Exam 2015 is being conducted for the first time in the year 2015. This is a screening test for SBI PO Main Exam. That’s why, it becomes extremely important for the candidates to clear this exam.
Exam Structure: The exam will be conducted online and will have 100 objective type questions from Quantitative Aptitude (35 Qns), Reasoning (35 Qns) and English (30 Qns). Above all, candidates have to clear cut off in each section in order to be included in merit.
In this situation, time management becomes extremely important. Ideally, time management depends on your preparation and your approach towards solving the question paper. A science or engineering graduate may find Quantitative Aptitude easy while an arts graduate may find English easy.
Go through the paper and make a plan: The first thing one should do is to go through the question paper quickly and make a plan to solve it. In fact, you should have already made the plan on the basis of your mock tests. This plan must include the average time devoted to each section, strategy to answer a question etc..
Allocate time equally for subjects: As question paper contains questions from Quant, Reasoning and English only, time should be divided equally among the three sections. Ideally, 20 minute each for Quant , Reasoning and English.
Start with your favorite subject: Start with the subject you are more comfortable with. It will give you confidence. After you have solved questions of that section, move to other sections.
Adopt a Strategy: Adopt a strategy to solve questions from different subjects. One strategy can be taking up one question at a time and solve it. Do not take it up again. Other strategy can be solving easy questions in one go, then taking up difficult ones in second round.
Complete the test early: Try to complete the test 5 minutes early. It will ease your stress.
Be Confident: Believe in your preparation and be confident during the exam.
BEST OF LUCK!!
